Our innovative lazy kate is very compact, only 8 inches long by 4.5 inches wide x 1 inch thick (115 x 205 x 25mm). The shafts store inside and are held very securely by two rare earth magnets.
The shaft holders snap into either of two positions; 90 degrees for use on a table, and 45 degrees if placed on a chair or the floor; this position also gently tensions the bobbins.
The HansenCrafts Compact Kate will work with all miniSpinner bobbins, as well as any other manufacturers' bobbins that fit a 1/4" (6.35mm) shaft and up to 4-1/4" (108mm) diameter and 6" (150mm) long.
