I love these bobbins! They pack on a lot of singles and are large enough to ply a whole braid and then some. My favorite feature is the open spoked sides. I can see inside almost the whole bobbin from the orifice side of the spinner without doing acrobatics over the top of the flyer, so I know exactly when to slide the hook and exactly how full the bobbin is at all times. They are a pleasure to use.

It would be nice if they came in brighter colours like the akerworks but they work really well and are easy to assemble. They can contain a looooooot of yarn

These are the standard bobbins for the MiniSpinner and are a jumbo size, great for all thicknesses of yarn. This also allows you to ply up larger quantities of yarn into one skein, reducing joins in projects. Easy to put together and take apart for easy storage.
The jumbo hansen break down bobbins work perfectly for spinning and are simple and easy to put together and take apart.....absolutely no complaints!
I did get side tracked when I ordered thinking the different colors would be fun but there is not much difference in black and colored as they are quite dark anyway.
The bobbins seem very sturdy and certainly hold a large amount of yarn. I am now spinning 100% hand plucked angora with orifice reducer(wonderful idea) and enjoying it very much .
So far I have filled some bobbins with wool and samoyed blends and some with very fine Bond wool blended with Angora so far all is well on these bobbins .
The slides work okay but am having to retrain my brain so as not to pinch them to move them along.Thank you for an excellent product!

These are the quietest bobbins I have ever used. I love that they pack flat, I like the composite materials. No worries about scratches/breakage, and basic black is good!

Love having a larger bobbin than my old Ashford, and not dealing with the hooks as you advance your spin. The slides work much better.
I purchased both the regular and the take-apart standard bobbins and both are nicely finished and work very smoothly with my new cherry flyer. The standard bobbin came with the flyer and the take-apart was an extra, Love the convenience of the take-apart bobbin. It's a great addition to my Mini-spinner.
Because the bobbins come apart, they are easily transported... like the mini-spinner!
I have been spinning on conventional wheels for 20 years, and no matter what, there is always a bobbin that "thunks", rubs, or makes some kind of weird noise. NOT so with the Hansen bobbin!!!! Fantastic!
Well, you can never have too many bobbins and now you can pack as many as you want into a small bag. These bobbins come apart. They are a generous size too. I got 4oz on one, it was a fine yarn and it isn't even half full.
Hansen is ahead of the crowd here too.
