This is a stellar piece of equipment. It’s compact, self-contained, well designed, and beautifully crafted. I’m convinced that if the Hansen name is placed on a product, it’s a top-tier item, and you won’t be disappointed.

I like it! Great for plying. But, it is not so great for taking yarn, plied or a single, off the bobbin. The bobbin hops around and almost flies off the lazy Kate. In that case, keep the bobbin on the mini-spinner, release the brake band and wind the yarn onto a niddy-noddy or ball winder.
I love the way the uprights store in the base, and the way they're held in magnetically. Like all the HansenCraft products I've seen, it looks lovely and works quite well.

My beautiful new kate is a wonderful addition to my spinning tools. The bobbins spin freely without backspinning. The feet on the kate keep it from sliding across the floor. Thank you for making such beautiful and functional tools for spinners!
This Lazy Kate is compact and is perfect for travel. A bit heavy but it needs to be in order to keep it upright while in use. Ingenious storage system for the rods. I couldn’t be happier.

My new Cherry lazy kate works great with 3 fully loaded Woolie Winder bobbins. Whether I ply on the carpet or hardwood floor it holds the load of the bobbins. I especially like how I can put the 3 rods away in the base when I travel.

This kate is beautiful and it matches my wheel perfectly! I am impressed by it when the bobbins are in the upright position. there is virtually no pig tailing or corkscrewing. its very easy to use. however, when the bobbins are slanted back, the weight of three will tip the kate. two full bobbins will also tip the kate. so i've found that if i keep it in the upright position it works perfectly for my needs.

Thank you for your comments; we have found the cherry kates, being very light, can be prone to tip if the bobbins are heavy enough. We will be adding counterweights in future kates to resolve this. My new Lazy Kate arrived quickly, and I was in the middle of a spin so couldn't try it right away. Plying is done now and it was worth the wait. Smooth as butter!! I'm so happy with it. All the other mates I've used can't compare.
Hanson's have done it again. Lazy Kate residing with mini spinner in my Zuka So transportable and compact. Works great. A bit heavier than I expected but necessary not to tip over. Highly recommend.
This lazy Kate is everything one could want. Works great, everything tucks away to store nicely, and it is beautiful. Wonderful addition to the product line.
