The lace flyer is the fastest and most responsive flyer we offer, a real pleasure to spin on. If you like spinning fine and fast, this is the flyer for you!
The lace flyer has a higher top speed - 2000 RPM - as compared to the standard flyer. Due to the smaller size, it also has a very light touch - meaning that the tension adjustment allows VERY light take up. Just what you want when spinning short fibers like cashmere, cotton or yak. This is for the spinner who only wants to spin lace weight yarns - or possibly up to sport weight.
The yarn guides are 0.625" (15.9mm) inside diameter, lined with low-friction, extremely wear-resistant, gray titania ceramic eyes manufactured to our specifications. Flyer arms are carbon fiber; the thin, rectangular arms have virtually now wind resistance and are incredibly strong. The yarn guides are easy to move as you fill your bobbin.
Includes one of our nifty, HUGE, Lace BreakDown bobbins. These are incredibly convenient for travel and storage. Lightweight, solidly constructed, handsome bobbins are made of aluminum, acetal (Delrin), and Richlite.
