The ceramic eyelets are made of gray titania, a very hard ceramic material that is used for the same purpose in the commercial fiber industry. Ours are custom made to our design.
To install an eyelet, hold the new eyelet between your thumb and forefinger:
Hook the open end of the wire holder into the groove of the eyelet:
Then gently press the end of the wire form with the eyelet to open the eye enough that the eyelet will go into place:
Once the eyelet is installed, apply a single drop of Super Glue to the wire/ceramic joint to reinforce it. Capillary action will draw the Super Glue around the perimeter of the eyelet so it's securely glued in place:
